You know you’re back in America…when you go to a bachelor party (yes, bachelor party) and the groom-to-be attempts to eat this by himself:

Paddy Long’s Bacon Bomb is five pounds of ground sausage, pork and beef mixed with spices and wrapped in a weave of brown sugar bacon, and then slow cooked on a pig roaster. It serves 6-8 people.

Sid attempted the challenge of eating it himself, something only three people have ever done (one of those being Pat Bertoletti). He managed to get almost halfway through before deciding that he wasn’t going to be able to finish it.

At least I got to reap the rewards…

And the rest of the table combined struggled to finish the rest.

Hi, I'm Val. I spent most of my 20s in a standstill, unable to pick which path in life I wanted to take. I wanted the nomadic life of a traveler but also wanted the husband, the condo, and the kitten. Unable to decide which life I wanted more, I did nothing. When I turned 30 I’d had enough of putting my life on hold and decided to start “choosing my figs.” So, I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and traveled for three years. Now I'm back in Chicago, decorating my apartment in all the teal, petting my cats, and planning my next adventure.

As much as I love bacon, I definitely wouldn’t even attempt this challenge.

I’m quite pleased with my ability to close my eyes for all pictures above.
Also, Katrina, the name was misleading. The majority of that thing was meatloaf. Bacon was just the outer wrapping, and a tiny core within the meatloaf. A love of meatloaf would have been more useful.

Just think how many poor people could have been fed with all the food u waste.
On your trip around the world how many less fortunate people did u help?
    I bet it’s none.
U R the worst example of humankind.U will burn in hell someday.

    Paddy Cake,

Between the bacon, the beef, and given that it’s all meat, you lose the Hindus (and other veggies), the Muslims, the Jews, and also some minor religions (e.g., Jains, some Buddhists). Thus, a couple of billion poor people in the world would puke at the thought of eating any of this stuff. So, don’t be such a self-satisfied, sanctimonious snot.
