Warsaw, Poland.
Old town, Castle, and Warsaw Rising Museum in Warsaw, Poland.
Warsaw is an interesting place. It’s both so full of history and so brand new at the same time. Walking around the old town almost feels like walking around a Disney park, like it was made to look old but was all really built in the 1960s.
I spent my first full day walking around the old town, visiting the castle, and wandering a couple of parks.
I was again scared to find a meal but finally forced myself up to one of the restaurants in the square and held up my finger for “one.”
And I ate an amazingly delicious leg of goose drowned in a creamy mushroom sauce.
And then I rewarded myself for being brave with a scoop of grape ice cream.
And I spent my next day at the powerful Warsaw Rising Museum, a complete historic tour of Warsaw during WWII.
And then I failed at finding the park I was looking for but it was starting to rain anyways.
And on my way back to the hostel I found a cute little self-catering place where I correctly guessed that what I was pointing at was spinach pierogi.
I also found this notice tacked up. What do you think? Should I be Poland’s Next Top Model or what?
