I’m single. And being single means Valentine’s Day is filled with sugar and alcohol. Sugar and alcohol that I have to buy for myself thank you very much. So if I’m going to spend the day stuffing myself silly with my vices to compensate for the fact that I have no man in my life and am probably going to grow old, alone, with no one beside me but my cats, I might as well make my favorite alcoholic sugary-filled treat and make some of these Valentine’s Day pudding shot recipes.
OK, so really I just had to make something for a Valentine’s Day pot luck at work and nothing says work pot luck to me better than forcing alcoholic desserts on your coworkers in the middle of the day.
But, I mean, last year on Valentine’s Day I got surprised with a last-minute project that needed to be completed in a day and so I spent the entire day feeling like I was going to have a heart attack and then had to cancel my imaginary plans to pamper myself that night so I could stay up late finishing it. So, this year, I’m taking it easy. And by taking it easy, I mean getting drunk at noon.
I made three new pudding shot recipes for today: strawberry pudding shots, chocolate covered strawberry pudding shots, and strawberry cheesecake pudding shots. So what makes them Valentine’s Day pudding shots? Well… they are pink? And pink equals the color of love? Or something. Whatever. I mean, they’re alcoholic pudding so no matter what the flavor you can eat them and then have lots of sex with the person you are dating or married to or seeing on the side or eat them for a Galentine’s Day celebration with friends or eat them alone and and cry in a corner because you’re going to die alone surrounded by cats. And if that’s not romance, I don’t know what is.
