Bouncy house at Sue's end of year party.

No horseplay in the bouncy house.

Sue's end of year party.

Sunday I crashed a party at a coworker’s house. While I was never technically invited by the hostess I am friends with so many of the people going to I was invited as a guest. Of course, since I still had to drive myself so I ended up driving around the neighborhood for ten minutes because I didn’t want to arrive before the person who invited me…

There was a taco bar and margaritas.

And chalk to draw with. And a bouncy house 🙂

And Eric totally got beat up by two twelve year olds. That’s not horseplay at all.

And…can you believe it…I played bags for the first time ever. Ever! I sucked. That was a given that that was going to happen.

And then we played dress up with Eric…

Hi, I'm Val. I spent most of my 20s in a standstill, unable to pick which path in life I wanted to take. I wanted the nomadic life of a traveler but also wanted the husband, the condo, and the kitten. Unable to decide which life I wanted more, I did nothing. When I turned 30 I’d had enough of putting my life on hold and decided to start “choosing my figs.” So, I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and traveled for three years. Now I'm back in Chicago, decorating my apartment in all the teal, petting my cats, and planning my next adventure.
