My Kind of Town
Chicago is.
After 6 months in Central and South America, I flew back home to Chicago. It was nice to be back for a bit, though, really, most of my days were spent doing absolutely nothing and every night was spent sleeping on a couch. But it was nice, and I did do a few things…
I watched some improv.
and a play.
I walked through Millennium Park…
Saw my financial panther (who pretty much told me he doesn’t care if I use all my money anymore.)
I came this close to adopting a kitten. Because…kitten!
I got really drunk off of fancy cocktails at Primehouse…
And went out to a slightly awkward party for a guy I made out with on New Years and never talked to again.
I drank a lot of pretty lattes.
I ate a lot of awesome food.
Like a cheese plate and mushroom macaroni and cheese at Marion Street Cheese Market…
and Italian beef…
and fried fish…
and crab chips and dumplings and pork belly and shrimp at Fat Rice…
and pad thai…
and pho…
and a hot dog (that I didn’t smother in ketchup, be proud)…
and tacos at Antique Taco…
and pie at Bang Bang Pie Shop…
and taco pizza from Dimo’s…
and pulled pork from Lillie’s Q…
and chicken and slaw and toast a hushpuppies from Parsons…
And a few more things…
