I go walking…in Granada

A walking tour and Mirador de San Nicolas in Granada, Spain.

There really wasn’t much else to “see” in Granada outside of the Alhambra. Which was nice because, really, who needs to go to a museum every day?

So instead I just walked around a lot (and ate a lot of tapas).

I went on the city walking tour of Granada…

And I went on the cave and street art tour (where we met an interesting hippy who lives in a cave and says he is related to Carlos Santana)…

And when I was out of tours I just walked around…

And, on my last night, after midnight, walked with a couple of Canadians to find Mirador de San Nicolas, to find the city all lit up.

Hi, I'm Val. I spent most of my 20s in a standstill, unable to pick which path in life I wanted to take. I wanted the nomadic life of a traveler but also wanted the husband, the condo, and the kitten. Unable to decide which life I wanted more, I did nothing. When I turned 30 I’d had enough of putting my life on hold and decided to start “choosing my figs.” So, I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and traveled for three years. Now I'm back in Chicago, decorating my apartment in all the teal, petting my cats, and planning my next adventure.
