What I ate in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

I didn’t eat any of the kualas

What I ate in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I like Asia because I can eat how I want to eat and not feel weird. I can eat Chinese food every day. Here it is called food…

What I ate in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia:

Chicken and beef Satay

Chicken and beef satay.

Chinese Frog

Chinese Eggplant

Spare ribs

When Eming and I went for Chinese food we got amazingly delicious frog, eggplant, ribs, and noodles.

Curry and dumplings. I’m not quite sure what half of the stuff in that bowl was…

Chicken and noodles

Chicken noodle dish I got when we went looking for Chinese food at midnight.

Chicken rice

Chicken rice.

Chicken fried rice

Chicken fried rice I got with the unnamed traveler.

hot pot fish rice

Hot pot fish rice.

Potato wedges

Random food from that day we didn’t leave the hostel.

Hi, I'm Val. I spent most of my 20s in a standstill, unable to pick which path in life I wanted to take. I wanted the nomadic life of a traveler but also wanted the husband, the condo, and the kitten. Unable to decide which life I wanted more, I did nothing. When I turned 30 I’d had enough of putting my life on hold and decided to start “choosing my figs.” So, I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and traveled for three years. Now I'm back in Chicago, decorating my apartment in all the teal, petting my cats, and planning my next adventure.

As always, completely lovely pictures of food, Val. Love the burger and fries.
How do you do the out of focus stuff? Is that just being really close and focusing close in?
