Orange Chicken

Do you ever shut up?

A video of me dancing at a bluegrass festival. Food I've cooked. And a book I really need.

4. Thursday Mat and I met up with Chelsa and Stephanie and Tammy to go see a sketch show that Tammy’s boyfriend was in. It was fun. Even though I ordered Mat the wrong beer and lied to him about it being improv. Afterwards I was pretty starving because I had to work an hour and a half late so Mat and I went to Frasca which was thankfully still open. We shared some bruschettas and a pizza and it was delicious. Afterwards we went back to my place and he helped grade math papers and we drank a bottle of 2006 Bitch wine as the third installment of “let’s drink the random old bottles of wine I have laying around.” This one rates as pretty terrible.

Lick a bitch.
(Mat titled this one ‘lick a bitch.’)

Hi, I'm Val. I spent most of my 20s in a standstill, unable to pick which path in life I wanted to take. I wanted the nomadic life of a traveler but also wanted the husband, the condo, and the kitten. Unable to decide which life I wanted more, I did nothing. When I turned 30 I’d had enough of putting my life on hold and decided to start “choosing my figs.” So, I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and traveled for three years. Now I'm back in Chicago, decorating my apartment in all the teal, petting my cats, and planning my next adventure.
