Heather is sad I'm leaving

OHMYGOD, I am sooo ready for a vacation…but not really ready…it doesn’t help that I am at my parents house and they do not have Word so I can’t open my travel docs on their computer to print/map and I can’t access the internet from my computer (OK, that may be my fault for stealing their router…) But screw it! I’m going to go repack and get 2 hours of sleep.

I leave for Seattle on a 5am flight tomorrow…spend 2 days in Seattle, drive up BC to Hyder, Alaska and back, spend three more days in Seattle and then fly to New York City for the big hot dog eating contest! Sooo excited!

Hi, I'm Val. I spent most of my 20s in a standstill, unable to pick which path in life I wanted to take. I wanted the nomadic life of a traveler but also wanted the husband, the condo, and the kitten. Unable to decide which life I wanted more, I did nothing. When I turned 30 I’d had enough of putting my life on hold and decided to start “choosing my figs.” So, I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and traveled for three years. Now I'm back in Chicago, decorating my apartment in all the teal, petting my cats, and planning my next adventure.
