Saturday I spent the day doing a photo shoot for Project 891 Theatre Company's inaugural production of Never the Sinner. We shot some in the "studio" and some on location at the Green Mill. I got 4 pecan pancakes out of the deal. But I only ate 2 of them. I still have to edit them a million of them, but here are a few highlights...

Saturday I met up with Brian and some of his friends at Navy Pier to go see Second City's "Rod Blagojevich Superstar." Heather came too! We walked around a bit and walked through the stained glass museum before heading over to meet Brian and Co. The show was awesome. They basically set the story of the rise and fall of Blago (Chicago's own corrupt governor du jour) to the score of Jesus Christ Superstar and other musicals. I think it totally heightened the appreciation of the show that I could recognize every song that they were spoofing. You know you're in for...

1. Saturday night Chelsa, Tammy, and I headed to see Eric's show The Wake at Chemically Imbalanced. Unfortunately Eric was sickly so he said he couldn't promise me a $13.50 performance. And when they announced that one of the cast was being replaced with an understudy Chelsa and I both frantically looked to our programs to make sure he was still performing. I didn't pay to see strangers act! The show was very good. It was odd though because the theater is tiny and the actors are right there in front of you. I did squeeze out one tear when...

True story: I went to preschool in a small brick building under the town's water tower. I don't remember much about it except for the one day we made chicken soup and the time the girls all sang the Jem theme song and the boys sang the Super Bowl Shuffle and that I used to carry around a notebook and come up with inventions all the time. I drew out sketches for a flying belt and for a huge building I wanted to build in the backyard to serve as a doll hospital. I remember that we did these little demonstrations. Those...

one. I guess this is a spoiler if you don't watch The Office. But I don't watch The Office and I already knew what happened so it probably doesn't matter. And also I think I am the only one who doesn't watch The Office anyways...

I'm sure you've all been, at one point or another, so exhausted and worn out that you thought "I just need a vacation." But this past weekend I was at the point where I was so exhausted and worn out that I kept thinking "God, I really don't want to go on this vacation." Not that I wasn't excited to go see the Nathan's finals, because it was a totally kick-ass experience and the downright coolest event I've ever been to in my life...

I like romantic things Like music and art. And as you know I have a gigantic heart So why don't I have A boyfriend? Fuck! It sucks to be me! *** You'd never think that a puppet show would be the one piece of theater that truly captures what its like to be a twenty-something nothing in this day and age. But I guess you'd also never think that a puppet show would be full of swearing, sex, and alcohol either, now would you? I saw Avenue Q before when it was having a Las Vegas run and so when I saw it was coming to Chicago I really wanted...

Guitar Zero Despite some bad reviews from both Time Out and a coworker, Alina, Joe, Josh, and I headed out to The House Theatre on Saturday night to see The Attempters. By "The House Theatre" I mean a warehouse in the middle of nowhere. Seriously, Joe and Alina's cab didn't want to leave them there. Once there, after we grabbed some drinks and figured out that we could, in fact, sit in the front section of tables, we settled in and watched people play a video game on stage (including one of the cast members who tried to play it while not...
