My 30s are going to rock. Just sayin. I have big plans. Big. Huge. Amazing. Monumental. But I'm not ready to tell you here just yet. For a variety of reasons. You'll just have to wait. So I turned 30 on Wednesday. It's a big number. It's a number that makes you step back and take stock and think. It's a number that might make you freak out if you didn't have plans to turn your 30s into the most awesome decade of your life. So I was OK with it. Since I had had a big thirtieth birthday party over the weekend I just wanted...

I haven't thrown a party since my infamous 21st birthday party. That night someone threw up on my blanket and someone else threw up in the garbage can in my roommate's room and someone else was lying in the living room in a pool of their own puke. It mostly stems from the fact that I grew up with a lot of social anxiety and my birthday always was the one time of the year that I felt hat I could plan something and expect people to come. And it's a day where you can allow yourself just about anything you want, because it's your birthday. For instance, you can wear a new pair of fuzzy socks. And a brand new Anthropologie sweater you've been saving for for months. And stop for a Starbucks mocha in the morning. And get Chipotle tacos...
