It had been over a year since I got a hair cut and my frock was getting "trapped in my armpits every time I move" long. That last time I got it cut, over a year ago, I had run to a train station Supercuts on my work lunch break to get a $15 discount trim. I don't even remember when, before that, I had last gotten a "real" cut at a "real" salon. You know, one of those salons where they actually shampoo and blow dry your hair. I don't remember the last time I dyed my hair either, but...

I used to subscribe to the theory, "it's only hair." You see, I was never afraid to do something dramatic to my mousy blonde locks. I've had cuts of all lengths, chopped it all off, let it grow ridiculously long, tried bangs, tried bobs. I've dyed it almost every color imaginable. In college I dyed my hair purple, and green, and orange, and magenta. And then there was that time, a few years after college, when I decided to dye my hair black and while it is ridiculously hard to go back from it, I did, going for 11 more...

I have had a bottle of pink hair dye that has been sitting in my drawer for, no joke, twelve years. I probably bought it my sophomore year of college when I was dying my hair every color of the rainbow. Every color, that is, except pink. I did once dye it (and the entire dorm bathroom) a deep shade of maroon. But never a light pretty fairy-tale-esque pink....

I told my stylist how I normally get my haircut. And then I added a but. "But I'm turning thirty next week and I want something new and different for my 30s haircut." I gave her a general length requirement and told her to do something different in the front. I like giving her free rein. I mean, it's only hair. Awesome 30s hair. ...

one. I got a hair cut! My hair is now about 90-95% natural!   two. And I am kind of obsessive over these socks they sell at Target. They are the fuzziest fluffiest warmest socks ever. And they come in pink. Yesterday, I went in and they had loooong ones! I am excited!   three. This is an amazing video. So it doesn't take a lot for me to cry, but this really did move me for a lot of reasons. And I think everyone should see it as it could very well apply to anyone, not just photographers. And it makes me feel better about being a sucky photographer.   four. Baby watch...

1. My car is on Google Maps!!!!! 2. I got a raise yesterday! :-) 3. MK held a beer tasting last night at Taylor Brewing. By beer tasting that apparently meant just come and order a beer. I was almost done with my raspberry wheat (I SWEAR) but then Scott ruined it for me by pouring his tasting glass into mine :( While MK was working he was not eating his food...

1. Last night I met up with Nadia for dinner. We went to La Magdelana and I had the yummiest Enchiladas Poblanas with beef and mole sauce ever! Afterwards we went back to her house (I finally got to see her house!) and played Smooth Moves on her borrowed Wii. It is the most insanely stupid yet awesomest game ever. You have to hold the remote in different ways and this porno/Jack Handy voice comes up to explain how to hold it. And then it gives you three seconds to do each task. And even though some of the tasks...

One time in college I dyed my hair purple. I dyed it in my college dorm bathroom with a tub of Manic Panic. Afterwards, I had to scrub a lot of dye out of the sink. I imagine to this day you can still find my purple traces. I dyed my hair all kinds of colors in college: purple, green, orange, magenta. Though, I never got around to pink. I don't remember why I started. Was it to look cooler than I was? Was it a suppressed My So Called Life dye your hair and change your life moment? Was it...
