Blush Pink & Brass Chairs: An Obsession

Not much has changed in my living room since I last checked in five months ago. I guess I added the fig tree (I have a FIG TREE!) and the side table-turned plant stand. And I added the ugly-but-ever-so-necessary air conditioner. But really, not much else.
The room needs a rug to tie it all together (but, quite seriously, I’m waiting until I can afford to go to Morocco and buy a rug from there…). And I need another chair or two so people can come over and sit down. But it’s livable. And I love it so far.
Lately I’ve been obsessing over blush pink and brass chairs. I know, I know, I obsess over teal furniture and everything I own is teal. But really, every room could use a little pink. Right? Right? OK, so maybe it’s just on trend and I’m buying into that whole “marketing” thing. But, really, I never need to be convinced when it comes to adding pink to a room.
I kind of dream of stumbling upon the perfect vintage brass-armed chair at a thrift store or flea market (Randolph Street Market and Vintage Garage are two great markets to check out if you’re in Chicago) and then recovering it in blush or pink or magenta. But I also kind of dream of getting one of these chairs too.
Of course, I can’t afford any of these chairs. Or any chair. But whatever, a girl can dream…
1. Slub Velvet Kimball Chair from Anthropologie
2. Bacharach Swivel Chair from Jonathan Adler.
3. Series 7 Chair in Lacquered Veneer. (In pink and GOLD. I totally need an $800 gold chair, right?)
4. Metal Frame Upholstered Chair from West Elm
P.S. I’m also kind of obsessed with this blush and brass side table too…
