blah, blah, blah
So, today someone forwarded me a press release that they would like me to write a cover letter for and send out to a subdivision. The press release was from the Village of Lombard and was written by their communications & marketing coordinator. This was a job that I had applied for and really had wanted. I got a call for an interview for it and the guy seemed like he was really excited about me, however, I had just accepted and started my RE/MAX job. I actually kind of wanted that job more, but didn’t want to risk losing this one since it had taken me so long to get offered anything. Besides that, this job is full time and the Lombard job was part-time, but involved a lot more writing. Since this press release crossed my desk I’ve been thinking about whether I would have been happier at that job or would it have been just as bad or even worse. I would have had to take a second job anyways. Hopefully my next job search will go better. Blah.
In other news, I watched Back to the Future Part 3 on Tuesday. There were cowboys, but none of them were gay. 🙁
Rant of the Day: ASAP
I hate the term ASAP. This means “as soon as possible.” However, most people don’t use it to mean that, they use it to mean “right away.” There is a big difference there. For example, many people at work tell me they need something back ASAP. To me, as soon as possible really is two days from now. However, they wouldn’t stand for that. The more I see it, the more I hate that term.
Blah, blah, blah.
