Birthday cards for the crazy cat lady.

Birthday cards for the crazy cat lady.

My birthday is next week.

I’m pretty sure I’m finally reaching the age where the government is required to give me a cat. That’s how that works, right? I’d have to check the bi-laws, but I think it was the landmark 1981 Supreme Court case of Fluffy vs. Shadow that established that states are required to provide cats to single 36-year-old women who can’t afford their own or have commitment issues.

Something like that.

Don’t Snopes me on it.

As I said, my birthday is next week. And there’s still time to get this crazy cat lady (without a cat) a card…

(Or, you know, you can just buy me a cat…or give me a coupon to come cuddle with yours? I’d be cool with that.)

Birthday cards for the crazy cat lady.

Have a ball on your birthday.

Have a purr-fect birthday.

Wishing you a purrfect birthday.

Tabby purrthday.

This thing wants to wish you a happy birthday.

Rock the catspa!

Happy purrthday. (Ya crazy cat lady.)

May your birthday be filled with cats and cake.

Birthdays are so in right meow!

Meow. That’s all. Were you expecting a “happy birthday”? Ugh, you’re so needy.

Sing your heart out.

Did someone say birthday?

One year closer to becoming a crazy cat lady.

Don’t worry you’re not there yet.

Hi, I'm Val. I spent most of my 20s in a standstill, unable to pick which path in life I wanted to take. I wanted the nomadic life of a traveler but also wanted the husband, the condo, and the kitten. Unable to decide which life I wanted more, I did nothing. When I turned 30 I’d had enough of putting my life on hold and decided to start “choosing my figs.” So, I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and traveled for three years. Now I'm back in Chicago, decorating my apartment in all the teal, petting my cats, and planning my next adventure.

Love it! Especially the one that says “may your birthday be filled with cats (and cake)”. I got to play with some cats (and a dog!) recently and it was wonderful! I totally want a dog, but I don’t think I want to deal with the responsibilities that go along with it…especially on days like today when it’s below freezing.
