08-08-08 - my desk at work.

Sid sent me an email about something on 08-08-08 and how you should photograph your life on this day. Whatever made him think to send that to ME is completely beyond my imagination…yeah…so since I basically photograph my life every day I decided that for 8-8-08 I would take you into an exclusive behind the scenes look into my work day. So here is how I spent my day on 08-08-08…

I decided to cash in on my free Potbelly breakfast sandwich:

I always wear my sneakers because they are comfy. I usually wear nicer pants. I lie. None of my pants are nice:

08-08-08 - pink plain Vans.

I stare at this computer (and this website) about 99% of the day:

I went to visit Ron, but he wasn’t there. He has lots of Simpsons characters on his desk. Including the ghost of Flanders I made on April Fools:

08-08-08 - my coworker's desk at work.

I went to visit Eric at the ticket desk:

08-08-08 - Working the ticket desk.

The signs I pass in the hallway on the way to my desk:

08-08-08 - The dungeon sign in my work hallway.

My new computer that I will be spending a lot more of my time staring at:

Happy 08-08-08!

Hi, I'm Val. I spent most of my 20s in a standstill, unable to pick which path in life I wanted to take. I wanted the nomadic life of a traveler but also wanted the husband, the condo, and the kitten. Unable to decide which life I wanted more, I did nothing. When I turned 30 I’d had enough of putting my life on hold and decided to start “choosing my figs.” So, I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and traveled for three years. Now I'm back in Chicago, decorating my apartment in all the teal, petting my cats, and planning my next adventure.
